The early settlers sought for a liberty in the wilds that was denied them in the cities of men. They sought to establish justice under the free skies of uncharted shores, because it was not given to them by the courts of the land they left. It was this sacrifice on their part that gave to American civilization its ever-enduring greatness, based upon the right to be free and the belief in justice.
